RAILWAY RESERVE

Public BBQ

A tiny, basic reserve right by Footscray station, reachable directly from the platform or from McNab Avenue. It has sheltered seating, a water tap, a basic picnic area and two public barbecues, which makes it a reasonable place to wait out a train connection. Be realistic about the state of it though: the barbecues are frequently left filthy, and the water tap either does not work at all or manages little more than a dribble. There is no playground, but toilets are available at the station next door. Handy for its location rather than its facilities.
